Sometime in early September, Burnham School has been invited to do tree planting at Coe's Ford Reserve. This area is both highly recreational and is environmentally valuable. The senior enviro-group are investigating what native trees or plants that they should be planning to plant.
Furthermore, we would like to know why people value and use Coe's Ford this will assist us in creating a plan for planting a section of the reserve with your suggestion in mind. Your comments are welcome.
I went there as a child so have fond memories of the river and trees and picnics with my whanau there. I think we should consider a combination of native shrubs but possibly other natives that grow bigger so future generations can enjoy shade and have trees to climb/etc.
