Vision for Christchurch

With a number of parents that worked in the initial earthquakes the students wanted to create their own vision of Christchurch for the future.
This is Room 2'S Burnham school vision for the Christchurch Centre with an environmental focus.

Upcoming Events- Coe's Ford

Sometime in early September, Burnham School has been invited to do tree planting at Coe's Ford Reserve. This area is both highly recreational and is environmentally valuable. The senior enviro-group are investigating what native trees or plants that they should be planning to plant.

Furthermore, we would like to know why people value and use Coe's Ford this will assist us in creating a plan for planting a section of the reserve with your suggestion in mind. Your comments are welcome.

Last week Room 5 helped fill up the new garden beds with pony manure for fertiliser. Most of us found it fun but a tiny bit gross. We took the manure from the trailer applied it to new garden beds.

We would like to thank Mrs Musgrave for the pony poo and for transporting to the school. Room 5 enjoyed the experiences but we had make sure that we had showers straight after school.
