Envirogroup Update

Kia Ora,

At the envirogroup meeting we decided that the school’s worm farms are being neglected. As well, some of the worms buckets in the classroom are not being regularly empty. We have created a roster that will make sure that the worm farms are attended to regularly by student or students from the envirogroup.

Within the roster we have paired up a member of the envirogroup with a junior classroom, so he/she can show a member from  each class how to attend to the worm farms and empty the classroom worm bucket correctly.

The idea in the future is that each classroom will become responsible in emptying their own worm buckets and the envirogroup when just attend to the up keeping of the worm farm.

We Ate Our Potatoes from the school Garden

Room 2 were lucky enough to have parents that helped supervise in cutting the potatoes into chips. While other students buttered the bread, one parent suggested that we cook our chips at Burnham Fish and Chip shop. Ashton, Marshall, Te Ao and Sydney took the chips to Burnham Fish and Chip shop to get cooked and brought the chips back wrapped in newspaper.

We believed the chips made from potatoes from our school garden were the best we had ever had. Room 2 would like to thank the parents and Burnham Fish and chip shop.
